Perth Groundwater Atlas
The Perth groundwater atlas is a source of easily accessible groundwater information to help drillers, irrigators and householders, when determining locations and depths needed to drill to install a garden bore in the Perth metropolitan area.
As well as the depth to groundwater, the atlas shows:
- Areas suitable for garden bores
- Groundwater salinity
- Estimated depth to the base of the superficial aquifer beneath a property. This is the maximum allowable bore depth permitted without an approved groundwater licence
Additional information is available in the Perth groundwater atlas (2nd edition) 2004 – explanatory notes. A printed version of the atlas is available for purchase.
Groundwater level measurements may be obtained from the Water Information Reporting tool.
