The Superficial aquifer is a major unconfined aquifer that exists across the entire Gnangara groundwater plan area, and is commonly termed the ‘Gnangara Mound’, as the water mound extends across most of the Superficial aquifer. The Superficial aquifer is an important source of water for irrigated agriculture, parks and gardens, industry, public water supply and garden bores and supports groundwater dependant ecosystems. ... read more >
