Regionalisation has been established strongly in the DoW, and the regions deliver almost all of the DoW's businesses to customers through their regional offices. The DoW has a strong approach to ensure regional involvement in central work programs.
When dealing with issues, it is essential to consider the role of the relevant region, and to ensure that you include them in your project or work. There is a protocol that requires all central staff to contact the relevant regional office prior to travelling to the region and speaking to any regional stakeholders.
