They offer our views on water resource protection issues and recommend best water management practice for land use activities and water quality safeguards. We aim to ensure our advice is clear and consistent, and for land users to understand the factors that are considered when premises are inspected or development proposals are assessed.
These notes can also provide a basis for developing formal best environmental practice guidelines or codes of practice in consultation with others.
