In delivering its services the department will:
- engage with our stakeholders and provide innovative, timely and well-planned solutions for managing the state's water resources and ensure adequate water services
- provide leadership so that the department is the first place the community looks for answers and leadership on water resource and water service matters
- adopt business processes focused on improving how we deliver our services to achieve the best water outcome for the community's investment
- utilise knowledge and innovation to provide decisive and timely advice to the government of the day and other departments on how water should be managed.
