Water Foundation

West Australians live in a dry state and predictions point to it becoming even drier. As a community we must acknowledge this, and take steps to ensure water efficiency is at the top of our agenda.

Water conservation and water recycling is an important part of the Government's State Water Strategy. Through this Strategy, we have set ourselves the goal of being amongst the world leaders in water efficiency and innovation.

To achieve this goal we are actively promoting a range of initiatives, including rebates for householders on water-efficient appliances, increased use of treated wastewater and introducing water meters for irrigators on the Gnangara mound.

The Water Foundation is another important part of our strategy for increased water efficiency. By supporting research into smarter ways to conserve and recycle water the Foundation will help secure our water future. You can help by either sponsoring or contributing to the research and development supported by the Foundation.
